LEAP/CLEAN Visiting Program

LEAP/CLEAN offers one or two visiting fellowships per year to outstanding researchers (faculty members or PhD students) working in one of LEAP/CLEAN’s core research areas. Visiting fellows will engage in their own research while actively participating in the intellectual life of Bocconi University. Each visiting researcher will be hosted by a member of the LEAP/CLEAN faculty. The duration of the visit may be one semester or a full academic year.

 

Responsibilities

LEAP/CLEAN visiting researchers are expected to contribute actively to the academic life of the Center by:

  • Participating in weekly seminars at Bocconi University;
  • Attending and presenting their work at LEAP and CLEAN events or other relevant Bocconi seminars;
  • Conducting their own research described in the application during the visiting period.

 

Stipend and Support

LEAP/CLEAN visiting researchers do not receive a stipend. Office space at LEAP/CLEAN will be provided for the duration of the visit.

Applicants are asked to indicate in the application form:

  • Whether they require financial support; and
  • Whether they would be potentially interested in teaching at Bocconi University.

 

Visa and Immigration

Visiting researchers are responsible for determining whether they require a visa and for complying with all relevant immigration requirements. LEAP/CLEAN provides a support letter. Further information is available at: https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/?lang=en_GB

In the form, you will be required to submit:

  1. A curriculum vitae;
  2. A description of the research project to be undertaken during the visit (maximum five pages);
  3. One relevant writing sample; and

For PhD students only: one letter of recommendation needs to be emailed directly by the recommender to LEAP@unibocconi.it for a complete application.

 

The application deadline for the 2026/2027 academic year is January 31, 2026.
