Beatriz Ribeiro is a PhD candidate in Economics at the London School of Economics. Prior to that, she worked as a consultant at the World Bank’s Development Impact Group. Her research interests lie at the intersection of labour and development economics, with a focus on crime and gender. Her current work examines the impacts of policing and legal reforms on firms, employment, and domestic violence in Brazil, using large-scale administrative data. Beatriz holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
