Francesca Calamunci is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Catania. She completed her Ph.D. in Economics, Management, and Statistics at the University of Messina in 2019 with a dissertation dedicated to the study of the economic aspects of organized crime. In particular, her recent work studies the economic impact of anti-mafia law enforcement on firms. Her research area lies in political economics and policy evaluation with a particular emphasis on organized crime and crime in general.
