New Grant by Fondazione Cariplo

The CLEAN Researcher Massimo Pulejo has been awarded a grant by the Cariplo Foundation for the project “State- and Citizen-Driven Contrast to Organized Crime: Complements or Substitutes?”. The proposal, submitted at the first edition of the “Young Researchers” (Giovani Ricercatori) Call for Funding, has CLEAN’s Fellow Massimo Pulejo as its principal investigator.

The project will combine the causal analysis of observational data with an original survey experiment. The main goals are understanding if and how much ordinary citizens are aware of the efforts that the State puts into combating organized crime, and whether being informed about these efforts may increase citizens' own willingness to stand against criminal organizations.
