CLEAN collaborates with Transparency International Italia on the latest report "Soldi e Politica"

We are glad to announce that CLEAN worked with Transparency International Italia on the latest edition of the "Soldi e Politica" report.

Since 2019, the association has been building a unique dataset on Italian politics, comprising data on the sources of party finances and ownership by individual members of the Goverment and Parliament of firm shares. The initiative is a part of the Integrity Watch project, carried out by Transparency International at the European level and cofinanced by the European Union. This information was gathered by scraping institutional and party websites, as well as accessing the Register of Companies through a collaboration with the Openpolis Foundation, and provides invaluable insights on the way economic interests enter the Italian political arena.

This year, CLEAN contributed to the data analysis process for the 2023 report. You can check it out at this link. All the data, as well as a dashboard visualizing the main results, can be found in the dedicated website.
